Besides and because of the endless surge of substances, the ground encircling the downtown area is inevitably foremost in and plays host to the highest concentration of movement in the entire city.   
Here, the surrounding organisms shift to accommodate the substances that make up the very blood and beings of the city, in their larval stage, writhe in the agony of the newborn. Such is the result of the pure coming into contact with the tainted.  But here we are outside the city, looking in.
